Shame!
It remembers me of Madrid... sad, dont have another word
And the "autocensure", I think its OK, lots of families here in Spain had to suffer seeing the catastrophe LOTS of times on TV, only to get pain again and again. So its right IMO.

Fortunately the biggest effect this has had on me so far is being late for work and my gf getting the day off. She works about 2 minutes from where a bus exploded, and gets the bus to work everyday.
It seems there's a fair chance that we haven't seen the last of it yet though.

Probably best to stay indoors like the police suggested if you're in london.

I know. I don't see anthing posotive coming out of this situation, unless you count a speedy resolution.
I honestly can't understand why the UK out of all places was chosen... I mean, UK didn't even want to enter the war. Heck, UK has been doing it's best to take part in isolationism. And the Al Quadia already has my homeland the US barking up it's tree, why would you bring in ANOTHER world power? (Espcially after they just updated their arsneal. Goodbye L85, hello G36).

You know I just had a second thought. Maybe it's not the Al Quadia. Maybe it was just some random attack, some psycho going at it.
I can't wrap my head around why in the heck Al Quadia would choose the UK, so it HAS to be someone else.
EDIT: And if anyone has lost anybody or knows anybody who was injured in the incident, you have my condolances.

Found out about it later that day from the friend I was driving with.
I think as a nation, we are used to this kind of thing.
Londoner's just pick themselves up, dust themselves off, stick 2 fingers up and move on.
It's not nice, it happens, and things need to be done to stop it.
Addition. - Is it a coincidence this happens the day after we get the London Bid for 2012 Olympics? Or is it pointed at G8? Or just general disruption for either?

There are plenty of reasons to choose the UK, the main two being it is currently hosting the G8 summit, and the other being London has just been awarded the 2012 Olympics so news teams from around the world will have cameras here going yay! London.
Terrorists may be ******* *****, but they're not stupid.

Yeah, were coping well apparently, theyve got COBRA in force, for the special situations we get, and it's all going well. No one's panicing even though the casualties are still rising.

I can see the G8 being a reason but the attacks would take more than a day to plan and the announcement just came yesterday about the olympics.
The Brits are accustomed to this. 4 Years of German blitz and the IRA.
Hope things are ok over there mates.

Maybe.. I mean, referancing WWII, the big reason why Hitler lost his power was because he was too kocky. He started up the blitzkrieg, the Battle of Great Britian and went straight over to Russia at the same time. He thought he would take on two world powers at the same time. To me, thats what these guys are doing. They're biting off more than they can chew. HOPEFULLY this wont cause a chain reaction, and a solution can come underway.
Well, I'm off to work. I'll check in on this situation later. Wish the world could just be at peace sometimes. I really do.

Just a thought.
Anyone caught in the game, using what is going on here in the UK as a reason to Taunt people in PvP or any part of the game, in an abusive manner, should be immediately reported and perma banned.
Just my thoughts, as we know how small minded some people can be.

nuked would be preferable. Anyone that can taunt somebody because their capital city has just been hit by what is now confirmed as a terrorist attack doesn't deserve the air they're breathing.

I would think they would do this because mobile phones are the new denators for bombs these days. Cutting off the service can perhaps prevent the situation from getting worse.

Time enough to plan it after the olympic bid/G8 meeting? ....sure there was.
Terrorist X says "When trigger occurs...plant your bomb".
Quite simple really. They have the plans in place months or even years in advance and the terror cells just sit back and wait for that environmental trigger to occur.
How many more triggers are there? Maybe when price of oil reaches X or when person Y reaches Z years of age.
It could be anything. That way, their is no need whatsoever for cells/terrorists to communicate with each other or with their commanders abroad.
I can recommend a good book that gives an educational insight into the mindset of these types of people. Holy war inc. by Peter Bergen.
http://www.peterbergen.com/bergen/
There was also a document released (edited slightly) by the metropolitan police which was found in a terror suspects house in Manchester a few years back. That gives a fascinating look into strategies employed by terror cells for meetings/coordinations/housing/tactics/surveilance/evasion etc. Do a search on the net, you should find it. It's rather chilling but helps you understand the minds and strategies of these lunatics.
Whatever the instance for these attacks, let our prayers and thoughts be with the victims and their families.
Let us hope there will be no more attacks in the future.
